18.2 Million Passengers Passed Through Bali Airport This Year
Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport has released its passenger traffic data for 2025. From January to September, the airport handled 18.2 million passengers — a 1% increase compared to the same period last year.
International traffic rose by 9% year-on-year to reach 11.5 million passengers, while domestic flight volumes have continued to decline since the beginning of the year.
Following recent infrastructure upgrades, the airport’s maximum capacity has expanded from 24 million to 32 million passengers annually. As a result, plans for constructing a new airport in North Bali have become less pressing — at the current pace of growth, the existing hub should remain sufficient for at least the next five years.
