British hospitality giant InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is set to further strengthen its presence in Bali with the launch of a new property under its luxury boutique brand, Kimpton. The chosen location: Ubud, the island’s cultural heart.
Scheduled to open in early 2026, Kimpton Bali Ubud will feature 101 rooms overlooking the Wos River, just minutes from the Ubud Royal Palace. The property will offer a full range of upscale amenities, including three restaurants, a café, a spa, and a fitness center with a swimming pool.
Ubud is one of Bali’s two main destinations for high-end travelers — the other being the Bukit Peninsula. Its reputation as the cultural and spiritual capital of the island has made it a magnet for some of the world’s leading luxury brands, including Capella, Four Seasons, Buahan by Banyan Tree, Mandapa by Ritz-Carlton, and more.
This latest addition by IHG reflects the group’s broader strategy of tapping into Bali’s growing demand for immersive, experience-led hospitality in the premium segment.
